Medication Aide In-Service Training – 7 clock hours
Annual in-service education for Certified Medication Aides: six modules and a final exam, available online 24/7.
The Texas Medication Aide Registry (MAR) requires every Certified Medication Aide to complete 7 hours of approved in-service education each year. These six online modules are one of the options we offer to meet that requirement.
Six modules
- Role of the Medication Aide on the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) 1 hour
- Communication Skills for Medication Aides 1 hour
- Meeting the psychosocial needs of residents 1 hour
- Infection control and medication administration 30 minutes
- Skills and technique for Medication Aides 1 hour
- Drug review and update 1.5 hours
After the final exam
Pass the final exam with at least 70% and your certificate is created automatically. Then complete Form 5504 online (the link is in the last step of the course). Please do not mail Form 5504 to the State; we process it for you.
